Operated by Fortress and supported by Riot Games, the Fortress (touch)Grassroots Ecosystem is Oceania’s official path into the VCT competitive circuit.

Announced late last year, players in Oceania (OCE) can join the VCT ecosystem through Premier where the best team will move on to a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) for a shot at becoming one of four teams to qualify for VCT Pacific Stage 2 Play-Ins. With the Fortress (touch)Grassroots Ecosystem, players will now have multiple ways to compete and qualify for LCQ, opening more opportunities for competition through community-focused events.

The ecosystem, which will see the best teams in OCE compete, will culminate in the Oceanic Regional Final. Teams will be battling through two phases in order to qualify.

Phase 1

Eight teams will progress to the Oceanic Regional Finals via:

• Premier (Jan-Apr)
  The top two Premier teams from Act 1 and Act 2 will earn a place in the Oceanic Regional Final, qualifying a total of four teams.
• Online Open Qualifier: (May 23-24)
  Up to 64 Teams will compete online in a Best-of-3 single-elimination bracket across two days. The top two teams will advance to the Oceanic Regional Final.
• Fortress Grassroots Esports LAN Qualifiers: (Jun 6-7)
  Two LAN qualifiers will be held, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne. The winner of each will advance to the Oceanic Regional Final, with 16 teams competing in each qualifier.

Phase 2: Oceanic Regional Final (June 13-14, 20-21)

• The top eight teams from Phase 1 will compete across four days.
• The winning team advances to the Pacific LCQ for a chance to become one of four teams competing at the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Play-Ins.
