Game Changers aims to create a future where players of all backgrounds are inspired to pursue and compete in VALORANT, playing together and not segregated by gender.
The Story Of VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2024
Across the world, teams and players leveled up in 2024, and we want to continue ensuring that the best have a chance to earn a spot at the biggest event of the GC circuit - the Game Changers Championship!
Game Changers Championship Slot Allocation
In 2024, we expanded GCC to 10 teams to increase the opportunities available to the best teams in the world. For 2025, we are updating the Game Changers Championship to group Americas as a region and awarding them 4 slots in total.
Introducing the GC Americas LCQ
In 2025, in a continued effort to reward teams while maintaining regional balance, we are creating the new Game Changers Americas LCQ. The event will bring together the second place teams from Brazil, Latin America, and North America to fight for the final spot at GCC 2025. With the combination of regional qualifiers, Americas slots will be awarded to the winner of each regional circuit, North America, LATAM, and Brazil, with the fourth spot going to the winner of the new GC Americas LCQ.
The Game Changers Americas LCQ will take place in the Riot Games studio in São Paulo. The teams will gather in Brazil to compete for who will be the first winner of the Americas LCQ at the end of the year. The LCQ will feature two days of LAN competition between the three teams. The first day will feature a single round robin stage with all teams playing each other. On the second and final day, the top two teams will compete in a best-of-5 match with the winner booking a ticket to GCC 2025.
VALORANT is truly a global sport, and we believe that the peak moments should reflect that. We want to ensure that players from all over the world have a fair chance to make it to Game Changers Championship no matter where they play from. We have seen GC players continue to grow in the last year with Flor rising to the IL, GC players shining during the new Spotlight series, MiBR, G2 Gozen, and GiantX participating in Challengers promotion events, and Shopify Rebellion officially promoting into Challengers.
We are always inspired by the talent within Game Changers and the examples they set for new and upcoming players within the ecosystem. We look forward to seeing how they continue to surprise in the 2025 season!
