The matches are set for the first global event of the 2025 VALORANT Champions Tour. From February 20 - March 2, the top 8 teams from around the world will compete in Bangkok, Thailand for the title of Masters Bangkok Winners. Take a look below for more information on the participating teams, format, brackets and schedule.
Meet the Competitors
The 2025 season began with Kickoff Tournaments across the four International Leagues - VCT Americas, VCT CN, VCT EMEA, and VCT Pacific. Within each League, 12 teams competed amongst each other to determine the strongest 2 teams to serve as their representatives in Bangkok. The teams heading to Bangkok are:
VCT Americas | VCT Pacific | VCT EMEA | VCT CN |
SENTINELS | DRX | TEAM VITALITY | EDWARD GAMING |
G2 ESPORTS | T1 | TEAM LIQUID | TRACE ESPORTS |
Tournament Format
Masters Bangkok will be split into two parts - the Swiss Stage and the Bracket Stage.
To determine the starting match-ups, teams will be drawn into 4 matches based on the results of the Kickoff Tournaments. In the first round, we’ll see teams who won their Kick-Off events face off against all the second place finishers. No same region match-ups here.
Swiss Stage (Feb 20 - 24)
In the Swiss Stage, teams will need to secure 2 victories before they accumulate 2 losses across a maximum of three rounds to advance out of Swiss. Each match will be a Best of Three series.
Teams who win Round 1, will move up and those who lose will find themselves in elimination matches. Between each round, two fully random draws will decide the matches - with same region match-ups not allowed in the first round. After three rounds of Swiss competition, we’ll have our 4 Bracket Stage contenders.
Bracket Stage (Feb 27 - March 2)
A random draw will pair the competitors, a double elimination bracket will narrow them down, and we’ll close out with a Best-of-Five series in the Lower and Grand Finals. The last team standing will earn the title of Masters Bangkok Champion.

The Road to Champions Paris
Masters Bangkok is the first major step on the road to the title of World Champion. Throughout the year, VCT teams from around the world will compete across International Leagues and Global Events to secure qualification for the most prestigious event of the VALORANT Champions Tour - Champions Paris.
The New Championship Point System
Similar to last year, Championship points will be distributed across every stage and competition. Our goal is to make sure all parts of the season have high-stakes and are of consequence. To address this we’re making two important changes: deeper points distribution at Masters and Playoffs and making stages self-contained, giving all teams a fresh start midway through the season.
Regular season matches will continue to give 1 point per regular season win, while major events like Kickoff, Playoffs, and Masters will now reward multiple teams. The IL playoffs and Kickoff will grant points to the top 4 teams, while Masters Bangkok and Masters Toronto will recognize the top 4 and top 6 teams with points.
