VCT Americas Stage 2 begins on July 16, marking the start of the final race toward VALORANT Champions Shanghai.
Widely regarded as the most successful region in international VALORANT competition, VCT Americas is home to world-class talent, championship-winning veterans, and the latest generation of emerging stars. The region also boasts the reigning Masters London champions and the current VALORANT Champions winners.
Now, the stakes are higher than ever. Every team enters Stage 2 with one goal: earn a spot at VALORANT Champions Shanghai and compete in our biggest tournament ever-the first to bring together VCT and Challengers teams on the same stage.
Leviatán enters Stage 2 riding high after its Masters London triumph. NRG is ready to remind the world why it has long been considered a global powerhouse. Meanwhile, G2 Esports aims to defend its VCT Americas crown and add another championship to its trophy case.
Teams can qualify for Champions Shanghai through the following paths:
For the first time ever, VCT Americas Finals will take place outside Los Angeles. Fans in Brazil will welcome the region’s best teams to São Paulo from September 4-6 as the race to Champions reaches its final chapter. More info here.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE AND FORMAT
In case you missed it, the Stage 2 Draw Show determined the groups and matchups of all 12 teams.
Here are the Alpha and Omega groups:
The top two teams from each group qualify for the Playoffs, with the #1 seeds receiving a Round 1 Bye and the #2 seeds starting in Round 1 of the Upper Bracket. The rest of the field moves to Play-In, where they will compete alongside the top four Challengers teams from across the Americas in a double elimination bracket.
