Get ready for the second global event of the year - Masters Shanghai!
Following Masters Madrid, the teams will return to International League competition for Stage 1. These competitions will run from late March to early May, determining the top 3 teams from each league to qualify for Masters Shanghai.
The twelve teams who have qualified from Stage 1 will compete through an intense two weeks, with one team making it to the end and setting themselves apart as the current number one in the world. Masters Shanghai will take place across two venues:

Food and Beverage
- Not allowed on the main stage but there are storage areas upon entrance to let the audience keep food and drinks until they leave
- Allowed at the Entrance Lobby and Underground Lobby
Bag Policy

Signs, Banners, Flags
- 24" x 24"
- Vinyl, cloth, paper or other lightweight. LEDs acceptable if on that material
- No commercial messages
- No logos
- Non-political
- No regional, separatist or country flags

- Must be in good taste and not offensive
- Item must be related to the event
- Item may not be attached to a stick/pole
- Item may not be hung, attached, or displayed on any part of the building
- Item may not be constructed or displayed in a manner that may obstruct the view of other guests or in any way create a safety hazard for others
Camera Policy
- No flash
- Audio and video recording is strictly prohibited unless approved by the event organizers
Costume and Props Policy
- If credentials are always visible, costumes are allowed. Props must adhere to the prohibited items list
- Your costume must not be wider than 4 feet across, longer than 6 feet, or taller than 8 feet. Additionally, you must be able to easily maneuver your costume over stairs or ramps unassisted
- You must also be able to sit in your seat while wearing your costume without obstructing the view of those around you
- All swords or bladed weapons must be blunt-edged and cannot have a sharpened edge (no metallic or predominantly wooden weapons). No weapon may be sharp or pointed enough to cut or pierce someone with moderate pressure, or heavy enough to create a threatening club

Mercedes-Benz Arena has a strict “no re-entry” policy during all events.
Food and Beverage
Mercedes-Benz Arena does not allow outside food or beverage to be brought into the arena.
Bag Policy
We highly encourage our fans to leave personal bags at home. Mercedes-Benz Arena asks all guests to arrive early and travel light.
Bag size guidelines will be strictly enforced. All bags will be screened by Security prior to entry into Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Bags must fit comfortably under your seat, and oversized bags larger than 15 x 15 - 10 inches wide or 38 x 38 - 25cm wide are prohibited. No luggage or large backpacks will be permitted.
Mercedes-Benz Arena does not provide an area to check bags, coats or any other personal belongings.
Prohibited Items
- Firearms, ammunition, pepper spray/mace, and explosives;
- Imitation guns and controlled instruments such as crossbows, slingshots, and daggers;
- Fireworks, gasoline, alcohol, lighters, matches and other flammable and explosive dangerous items;
- Highly toxic, corrosive and other dangerous chemicals and radioactive items;
- Hazardous substances such as harmful biological agents and infectious disease pathogens:
- Alcohol, Heroin, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine and other drugs;
- Flags, retractable flagpoles, banners, slogans, light signs, laser pointers, projectors and other equipment;
- Fragile containers such as glass bottles/cups, Cans, Aluminum Bottles, Flasks, & Coolers
- Easy-to-throw food and beverages, larger hard fruits and foods, and knives;
- Banners, slogans and other promotional items with political, racial, religious, violent, terrorist and commercial content;
- Various amplification equipment, such as musical instruments, whistles, trumpets, drums
- Various sticks and sharp objects that can easily cause personal injury, such as bats, long-handled umbrellas, pointed umbrellas, etc.;
- Balls, rackets, flying saucers and similar items;
- Any unauthorized professional photography equipment (including cameras with detachable lenses) and tripods and monopods for cameras and video cameras;
- Unauthorized items that may affect the normal performance or hinder others from watching the performance, such as radios, laser devices, lighting equipment, projection equipment, walkie-talkies, radio equipment, etc.;
- Drones and various types of aircraft;
- Hoverboards/Skateboards/Scooters/Rollerblades/Rollerskates;
- Tape and/or stickers
- Other items that are expressly prohibited by national laws and regulations or other items that the security inspection and explosion police believe are inconsistent with the functions of the event site and obviously affect safety.

Signs, banners, flags
Flags, Banners, and hand-held signs are expressly prohibited from entry to Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Camera Policy
Mercedes-Benz Arena reserves the right to examine and prohibit the use of any camera that conflicts with the policy set by the event. Cameras with professional/interchangeable/detachable lenses will not be permitted, nor will monopods, tripods, selfie sticks or flash. Audio and video recording is strictly prohibited unless approved by the event organizers.
Additionally, flash photography is not permitted.
MBA Arena - COSTUME & PROPS POLICIES
Costumes are permitted, if credentials are always visible, with some exceptions. For the safety and experience of all guests, full-face coverings are permitted only after clearing security and must be removed if requested by our security personnel.
- You must be recognizable at all times.
- Props must adhere to the prohibited items list.
- Your costume must not be wider than 4 feet across, longer than 6 feet, or taller than 8 feet. Additionally, you must be able to easily maneuver your costume over stairs or ramps unassisted. You must be able to fit through the walkthrough metal detectors, which are 30” wide and 80” tall. Any mask must be removed for the duration of the event, but can be put on for short periods of time for the purpose of taking pictures and interacting with other guests.
- You must also be able to sit in your seat while wearing your costume without obstructing the view of those around you.
- You must have unobstructed vision at all times (i.e., must not need to remove a piece of your costume in order to see).
- Armor cannot pose a threat to others by way of sharpened metal edges, spikes, or bladed surfaces. Metal and wood costumes will not be allowed per venue security.
- All swords or bladed weapons must be blunt-edged and cannot have a sharpened edge (no metallic or predominantly wooden weapons). No weapon may be sharp or pointed enough to cut or pierce someone with moderate pressure, or heavy enough to create a threatening club. Note: Worbla and 3D prints will be permitted, pending that it follows the above weapon restrictions.
- You may not bring firearms of any kind including air guns or cap guns, as well as any replica weapon (i.e., facsimiles or realistic versions of real-world weapons). Any firearms must clearly be of prop nature and should be made of primary foam and/or light plastics (prop firearms may not be made of wood or hard, metal materials). Cosplayers may be asked to prove that the prop is not dischargeable.
- Any bow-type weapons must be unstrung or strung with a low-tensile thread. All prop arrows must have non-metal, blunted tips.
- You may not bring in any liquids, gels, air horns or other substances which could cause a mess or make loud noises.
- You may not use smoke effects, fire, explosives, or any other environmental hazard in any capacity.
- You may display your prop weapons only as costume pieces. Do not swing or brandish your prop in any way that could be considered unsafe or threatening. Failure to comply may result in immediate confiscation of the item with no return.
- You may pose with a prop in a brandishing manner, so long as no reasonable person would interpret the pose as anything other than dramatic effect. Local police, event staff, or management may stop you at their sole discretion.
- There will be no bag check or prop storage available on site.
