TL;DR:
Movember has become an Official Mental Health Partner of VCT EMEA and Game Changers EMEA
The partnership will run through both the 2026 and 2027 Seasons.
Movember will bring mental health tools and resources to our broadcast and on-site events.
Planned initiatives include mental health awareness and response training for staff, and player-only roundtables that support players navigating stress and reducing the likelihood of unhealthy coping mechanisms.
We’re delighted to announce that Movember has become the Official Mental Health Partner for VCT EMEA and Game Changers EMEA for the next two years!
This partnership will allow us to leverage Movember’s global expertise in mental health to create a healthier and more supportive competitive environment for players, teams, fans, and the wider esports community.
Together, we will work closely with VCT EMEA players and teams to help support them in managing the pressures of competing at the highest level. We’re excited to kick off this collaboration, which began at the recent Player Summit ahead of the season, where we introduced Movember as our new partner.
As part of this initiative, VCT EMEA teams will receive mental health awareness and response training, equipping staff with the tools to recognise and appropriately respond to potential mental health challenges. Mental health messaging will also feature across broadcasts and live events, aiming to empower the community to engage in open conversations without stigma and reinforce that support is available when it’s needed.
Additional initiatives, such as workshops focused on stress management, coping strategies, and resilience-building, alongside player-only roundtable discussions designed to encourage open conversations about managing stress, coping mechanisms, and promoting healthier habits, are also being explored.
“Supporting the wellbeing of the VALORANT Esports EMEA community, our players, and team staff is something we are committed to strengthening, so we’re thrilled to welcome Movember as a partner,” said Daniel Ringland, Head of VALORANT Esports, EMEA. “While supporting open conversations and ensuring our players know trusted resources are available is a priority, this partnership also helps raise awareness around mental health and wellbeing across the wider VALORANT Esports EMEA community. Movember’s expertise will help normalise these discussions beyond the competitive stage, so everyone connected to our ecosystem feels supported by professionals committed to making a positive impact.”
“Movember is committed to bring community first solutions to today’s most urgent mental health challenges. Esports is a focus area for our work in mental health, and by working with Riot Games we aim to have a real impact and drive positive change in esports,” said Dan Cooper, Global Director, Innovations at Movember.
We are proud to partner with an organisation that will help us make gaming a healthier environment for all.
