It has been one hell of a journey so far for VCT EMEA 2023, with the regular season & playoffs delivering thrills, chills, and upsets as the 10 competing teams barely gave each other a moment's rest. The Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) EMEA 2023 couldn't arrive any faster for the six teams still looking to qualify for Champions 2023, all of which will be doing everything they can to compete amongst the best in Los Angeles next month!
With Fnatic emerging victorious at Masters Tokyo, there are now two Champions spots left for the EMEA teams to fight over. Read on for more information about dates, format, how to watch, and how to attend LCQ EMEA 2023!
VCT EMEA Last Chance Qualifier: Dates & Format
LCQ EMEA 2023 will kick off on 19 July and end on 23 July, with each game day beginning at 5 PM CEST. Initially games will be played in a Best-of-Three format until we reach the Bracket Finals and Grand Final, at which point they will switch to Best-of-Five.
LCQ EMEA 2023 will begin with the four lowest seeded teams facing off in the Opening Round. A loss here sadly means a swift elimination from the tournament for the losers, but the winners will progress to face either Natus Vincere or Giants (who received byes as the #1 and #2 seeded teams in the competition) in the Upper Bracket (UB) Semi Finals. The winners of the UB Semi Final will go through to the UB Final with the winner locking their place in for the Grand Final.
The losing UB Semi Final teams will drop to the Lower Bracket (LB) Semi Final, where the winning team will face the loser of the UB Final. Whoever comes out on top here will secure the final spot in the Grand Final where they’ll battle it out to be crowned the outright winner of LCQ EMEA 2023 and be assured of better seeding at Champions!
The schedule for the playoffs is as follows (all games are Best-of-Three unless stated):
Wednesday July 19th
Thursday July 20th
Friday July 21st
Saturday July 22nd
Sunday July 23rd
