The curtains have fallen. Omega Earth is ready. The Protocol is engaged. It’s operation VCT EMEA playoffs, and our squads are gearing up for the battle of a lifetime.
If you missed any of the regular season, there were upsets galore and some of the best VALORANT we’ve seen from the region; but one team emerged without a single scratch. Who, we hear you ask? Well, here’s a rundown of everything that happened during the season, as well as an overview of which teams will be juking it out for the crown of the inaugural season.

It’s been all about Fnatic
It goes without saying that VCT EMEA has been in Fnatic’s hands thus far. Despite having Maks ‘kamyk’ Rychlewski sub in for star player Emir ‘Alfajer’ Beder early on in the season, the boys in black and orange have continued their LOCK//IN success with a flawless run, only dropping a single map throughout the entirety of the regular season. It’s a statement of intent from the EMEA superstars: they’re here to stay, and if you get in their way they’ll continue to stand tall.
While second-place rivals NAVI also had a pretty good run, they fell at the hands of Britain’s finest on the last day of play, as well as dropping the ball during their first series of the tournament against eventual bottom-place squad, KOI.
Fnatic and NAVI currently populate the upper bracket finals, but there are four challengers who are looking to knock them off of their pedestals: Team Liquid, Giants, FUT Esports, and Team Vitality, the latter of whom qualified on the last day of play against Team Heretics. Giants face off against FUT Esports for a shot at Fnatic in the upper bracket semifinals, whereas Team Liquid take on Team Vitality to secure their spot against NAVI.
Whoever loses their opening rounds will still have a chance at glory, though, as they’ll be able to work their way through the lower bracket for a spot in the finals. It’s a long, hard road, but we’ve seen teams thrive under that pressure before.
