It’s happening. VCT EMEA is leaving Berlin and hosting a major arena event for the first time in its history!
We’re excited to reveal that Barcelona, in Spain, will host Stage 2 Finals from August 28-30. VCT EMEA Finals: Barcelona will take place at the Olimpic Arena in Badalona, part of the greater Barcelona metropolitan area. Built for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, the venue has hosted many sport and entertainment events, and will now welcome the VALORANT community for a landmark moment.
Eagle-eyed fans might have noticed a city change since our last update. We needed to adjust our plans for the event, but we’re staying in Spain and bringing the full VALORANT experience to fans across the country and beyond.
Stage 2 Finals promises to be the biggest event on the VCT EMEA calendar, and the culmination of the VCT EMEA season. For the first time ever, Challenger teams will have the opportunity to qualify into VCT EMEA Playoffs, and compete at the finals, offering teams from across the ecosystem the chance to make it to VALORANT Champions. Alongside the intense competition, fans can expect a range of VALORANT community experiences and activities built around the game we all love, to make the event even more special.
“Bringing a major live event to fans has been a long-term focus for the team, so we’re really excited to host the Stage 2 Finals in Spain later this year,” said Daniel Ringland, Head of VALORANT Esports, EMEA. “The Spanish VALORANT community is known for its passion and energy, and we can’t wait to see that atmosphere elevate one of the biggest moments of the VALORANT EMEA calendar year.”
More details about the event, including the full on-site experience and ticketing information, will be shared in the coming months. Follow VCT EMEA channels for future updates.
