The VALORANT Challengers Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) brings together each region’s Seed 2 team in a high-stakes competition where every map matters and every victory brings teams one step closer to facing the region’s top international organizations. In the end, only one team will claim the final spot available for the VCT Americas Play-Ins.

Here’s everything you need to know about the road to Play-Ins and how the final Challengers representatives will be decided.

What are the VCT Americas Play-Ins?

As part of the new VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 competitive ecosystem, the VCT Americas Play-Ins serve as the next step for the top-performing teams from the Challengers circuit.

During this stage, qualified teams will have the opportunity to face organizations from the international league for a chance to earn a place in Stage 2, keeping their journey toward VALORANT Champions alive.

To reach this stage, each region follows its own qualification path. Once every region has determined its representatives, VALORANT Challengers LCQ will decide which team earns the final available Play-Ins spot.

VALORANT Challengers LCQ

Once the Seed 2 teams from Latin America, North America, and Brazil have been determined, the VALORANT Challengers LCQ will begin on July 28.

The three teams will compete in a Round Robin format, with every match playing a crucial role in determining the final standings.

At the end of the Round Robin, teams will be ranked based on their overall performance. The third-place team will be eliminated, while the top two teams will advance to the LCQ Grand Final to battle for the final available spot in the VCT Americas Play-Ins.

LCQ Grand Final

On July 29, the top two teams from the Round Robin standings will face off in a Best-of-Five (Bo5) series. The winner will secure the final available spot in the VCT Americas Play-Ins, completing the field of Challengers representatives competing in the tournament.
